Procedural Knowledge - February 2014

Posted on February 13, 2014 at 9:20 PM

Assalamualaikum, Salam Sejahtera and Kia Ora

Dear students

As we enter the month of February, it means that the university life is just around the corner. As for those who are currently doing their summer school, EMNZ wish you all the best. May the best outcome of it will boost fresh determination for the coming first semester.

Knowing does not equal doing. We need to move up to the next stage where we upgrade our declarative knowledge into procedural knowledge. We should encourage ourselves to shift from the stage of just knowing the concept to the ability of putting the concepts and details into action.

EMNZ will be having a workshop with all student-based societies this month. It’s not easy to have all presidents or the committees of all regions to be in one place, but EMNZ confident that this can be done for the first time. Apart from targeting to synchronise all activities for 2014, another huge agenda for this workshop is to work on the ‘Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Luar Negara’ or MPPLN. EMNZ deliver its heartiest congratulations to the Higher Education Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia for this historical effort and futuristic initiative. All these years, the ‘Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Kebangsaan’ or MPPK has proven to be a great platform for our Malaysian students from all local public universities to strategically contribute ideas and suggestions directly to the ministry and the government. Having the MPPLN launched for the first time this year, it shows how much the Ministry of Education and the government appreciate its students and look forward for their contribution to the country. It’s time for Malaysian students abroad to dedicate the best from their brain for Malaysia.

EMNZ wish all the best to our students and welcome back to New Zealand. Have a great academic year ahead.

Kind regards

Mohd Erfino Johari

Director, EMNZ
